or maybe I should better say: little girl from little Austria has finally crossed the big ocean and arrived in big Canada....
some lines in my "good" english (definition from one of the veeery nice Filippinos) just to let all people at home and in some other places know that I am actually in Canada!!!
And at the moment I don't know if I should be happy to be here or be sad about not being on the ship anymore!! I had such a wonderful time there!!! Maybe no wonder, if you are the only woman with 2 dozen of men....:) I haven't decided yet which "nickname" I prefer at most: "lady" and "madam" were nice, "mouse" cute, "sun" wow and "beautiful princess" is one of the best. some of the other were cancelled by the censorship....
I really had a good time on this ship. Every one of the crew (half Filipino, half Polish, one Lithuanian, one from Sri Lanka) was sooo nice to me, there was always someone to ask me how I am, if I need something, if I have a question, to smile at me....they showed me the whole ship and explained me more that I wanted to know....maybe I can drive the cargo ship back home by myself....
Jessie, the cook, tried his best to create some vegetarian food for me and he did a good job! One day he even invented a dish and named it after me. If he will publish his own cookbook one day, I am in!!! I am afraid, I left him broken hearted.....and to be honest: I have at least ONE broken heart as well....(or rather 22...)
I had only one bad day on the ship, but not because of seasickness (NOT MEEEEE!!)....to be honest: it was not a very good idea to taste to much of sugarcane late after midnight....
the rest of the time I was quite fine, even though I had some other tough moments: we had some stormy days and I was really scared when the chair started to move in the cabin...but here again: always someone to comfort me and tell me, that this is nothing to worry too much about
most of the time, I sat somewhere on deck and looked at the water, the rest of the time I slept or talked to the crew. nothing special, but it wasn't boring not even for 1 minute!
And now: I am sitting in Halifax in my Hostel (and I have still the impression of the movement of the ship!!) and tomorrow at noon I will catch the bus to Montreal where I should arrive Sunday morning and meet Aline. I don't know now yet how long I will stay there but maybe some days and then go to Toronto
And hopefully I can show some pictures when I am in the Internet next time. In the hostel, it is not possible....sorry for that!
Ok, enough with my gooood english, but only one last thing
@ERIN: right at the moment I have the paper with your email adress not with me, therefore I will write you only later on, but I just want to thank you once again for being in Genua with me!! It was a pleasure to spent this 2 days with you and a big comfort! Hope, that you had a good time in Nice and another good time in whereever you are at the moment and hope to see you again in some years to show you the festival on the lake....big hug!
@Krzy: you left and it was sunny...you were right....! I wished it otherwise! Don't forget to always finish your meal until September....
